The mission of International Equine Ophthalmology Consortium (IEOC) is to advance the science of equine ophthalmology and to improve care of our equine patients.

The IEOC is a group of leading equine ophthalmic clinicians and researchers dedicated to advancement of the science of equine ophthalmology.  The specific mission of this group is to:

• Promote the sharing of knowledge by organizing international meetings of equine ophthalmology clinician scientists.
• Organize controlled multi-center clinical trials / studies among participating institutions / practices.
• Organize and promote sharing of resources to perform multi-center collaborative research projects.
• Develop specific research cores within participating member practices / institutions to attract funding for research and clinical studies from industry, private, and granting organizations (governmental and private).
• Promote the sharing of case material, innovative treatment, and knowledge between academic institutions, private practices, and equine practitioners to support education and information sharing.
